Steve Giles is Managing Director and founder of TPI. Having founded Gateway TSP in 2009 he now divides his time between the two companies. He is a Chartered Transport Planner and Incorporated Civil Engineer with 35 years of experience in transport analysis, highway design, road safety engineering/ auditing and traffic management. Following 12 enjoyable years with Surrey County Council he moved into the private sector, where he has practiced ever since. Steve has seen many changes to the industry in his time, from the ‘predict and provide’ road building culture of the 1980s to the ever-evolving demand management policies of today.
Steve has worked with a wide range of clients from both the private and public sectors. Most recently he has led successful projects with Lidl, The Institute of Cancer Research, The Royal Marsden, Croudace Homes, KFC and Maggie's. When he finds some spare time, Steve enjoys contemporary music, hill walking, reading, cycling, motorcycling and football (formerly playing and coaching but these days just watching).
