Grove Business Park

Case Study

Grove Business Park

The Project

Our involvement included the preparation of a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan to support the scheme. This involved extensive turning count and queue surveys at various junctions in the vicinity of the site. Relevant junction modelling was undertaken to assess the impact of the development proposals using PICADY, ARCADY and Linsig.

Vehicle swept path analysis was undertaken to demonstrate how HGVs could access each proposed unit on site.

Grove Business Park

Through liaison with Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) as the Highway Authority, a mitigation package was agreed which included a shuttle bus to provide connections with the nearby localities of Grove and Wantage. Through discussions with OCC, it was agreed that the development could be accommodated on the surrounding road network without the need for improvement works.

Outline planning consent was granted in December 2016.
